Ogun Inaugurates Consultative Forum on Free Trade Zone

In order to further engender harmonious relationship between the promoters of the OK-Free Trade Zone Enterprises/OK-Liquified Natural Gas and it’s host communities in Ode-Omi in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area, the Ogun State Government has inaugurated a Community Consultative Forum.                  The Committee has Messrs Timothy Odusanya and Sunday Ogededudu as chairman and vice chairman respectively, while Mr. Alabi Olomu is the secretary.
While inaugurating the committee in Abeokuta, Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa said government would continue to make efforts at ensuring peaceful co-existence of investors and residents of their host communities across the state.

The state scribe, who revealed that members of the committee were nominated by people from the affected communities and not the government, charged the committee members to work harder to justify the confidence reposed in them by carrying the people along in their activities.

“Government expects a high degree of responsibility, humility and inclusiveness from you. Always remember at all times that you represent the interest of our people. As a government, we will continue to promote initiatives that will contribute to a peaceful co-existence of investors and our people”, he added.
Responding, President, Ode-Omi Development Union, Mr. Hassan Adekunle expressed appreciation for the inauguration and stated the determination of members to deliver on its set objectives.
