Ogun LG Chairmanship aspirant, OLAMILEKAN BAKARE backs IBIKUNLE AMOSUN on LCDAs creation

A chairmanship aspirant in Ijebu East Local Government, Ogun State, Omooba Sylvester Olamilekan Bakare (KSM) has lauded the initiative of the state governor, Ibikunle Amosun, in his proposed creation of more Local council development areas in the state, saying it will bring drastic developments to the rural areas across the state.
Bakare, who is from Imobi community in Ijebu East noted that breaking the existing local government areas in the state to smaller units will allow development to spread across the rural communities.
The educationist turned politician stated this in a press statement signed by him and made available to journalists in his Imobi office, Ijebu East, Ogun State.
“I so much believe in the governor’s initiative because breaking the local government areas into smaller units will definitely allow developments to spread to the rural areas which to me, mean that the Governor has his people at mind and it is a welcome development.”
The Knight of Saint Mulumba of the catholic church who organised a holiday and counselling classes for over 300 students in Imobi community under the name of Remonda Adebisi Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation named after his late mother, recently, promised to work in accordance with the governor’s programmes and policies if given the opportunity to serve as the chairman of the local government.
Bakare, who believes in agricultural empowerment of Ijebu East citizenry, noted that it will improve the living conditions of the populace.
Speaking on the National Assembly crisis, he advised that our Senators and members of the House of Representatives should stop playing politics at this period when Nigerians are expecting good governance as promised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) government, saying that the nation’s interest should be more paramount to the legislators than their personal interests.
“Our legislators must be serious and get set for business of governance rather than fighting unnecessary course, Nigerians are full of expectations of good governance as promised by the APC government. And I expect our people to have prepared themselves for this course. Our party, APC must not fail Nigerians because it’s the hope of the nation at this period”, he posited.
He advised Nigerians to be patient with the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, noting that his six weeks in office has brought more improvement to the national economy.
