Ogun set to partner stakeholders to improve educational standard, others

The Ogun State Government has expressed its readiness to collaborate with individuals and educational institutions towards the success of its five cardinal programme, especially in the quest for affordable and qualitative education.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun made this known while hosting members of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro at the Governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Amosun, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, noted efforts of his administration towards promoting and improving academic standard in the state, adding that part of measures at scaling up the sector was the upgrading of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) to a University of Science and Technology.

Earlier, Chairman of the Council, Prof. Abubakar Hammed Sadauki, assured that the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, one of the oldest higher institutions in Nigeria, is ready to collaborate with the  government in its effort at rebuilding the state.

Saudaki said the visit was to intimate the governor about the 17th Convocation of the institution and also to seek his presence at the event.
