As part of activities aimed at bringing the dividends of democracy to the grassroots, the Executive Secretary, Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, on Tuesday unveiled its first skill acquisition and community development activities aimed at empowering the people of the Counci.
In a release signed by the Executive Secretary of the area, Hon Mrs. Olajoku Hassan, the organizers of the event, stated that this year’s event comes up on Wednesday, 16th December, 2015 at the local government headquarters, Ojokoro, Ijaiye, Lagos.
The Deputy Chairman, All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Cardinal James Omolaja Odumbaku, will among other dignitaries expected at this year’s Community Programme, organized by Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, LCDA.
Hassan said this year’s event is scheduled to be a one-day program with special focus on training and first skills acquisition programme for people residing in the area. The release further stated that the highlights of the event would include among others, graduation awards grand finale musical performance, special parade and other numerous side attractions, adding that the football competition would also take place on Thursday, between CMS office and Executive Secretary’s office, while the finale of the end of the year programme comes up the same day.
Other important dignitaries expected at the event also include Alhaji Akande Ayo, Alhaja Hassan Ajeigbe, Alhaji Mohammed Omolaja and among others.
