Now, as free as the air, Stephanie, the ravishingly beautiful estranged wife of Rev. Chris Okotie stepped out again on Friday, February 28, 2014. The event was The Glo Evergreen Series 2, Concert held at Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Sitting on the same table with her ex-husband’s church member, famous actor and Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Stephanie Henshaw had maximum fun as she slowly and steadily sipped her glass of champagne. When ENCOMIUM Weekly approached her for a chat, she barely acknowledged our greeting even as RMD politely signalled us to stay off her with a body language.
Though RMD, whose wife, Jumobi, a staff of Glo was at the show, left Intercontinental Hotel at different times, she made sure she enjoyed every minute she spent at the show.
This is the third time Stephanie would make a public appearance after her four-year old marriage to ex-wonder of pop, Chris Okotie crashed in June 2012. She was at the wedding of RMD’s son last year; the Classic FM valentine show on February 14, 2014, and now Glo Evergreen series.
Obviously hit hard by the unfortunate incident that robbed her of the life of luxury she reveled when the going was better, the pretty lady had tactically withdrawn from the public shortly after she returned from a UK holiday.
It had been a hide and seek game for the Efik, Cross River born and twice married mother of three who sometime last year flaunted her new look in a popular blog. Though her sister, Ms. Cynthia Henshaw insisted back then, she was not worried one bit by Okotie dumping her, busybodies who had been on her trail painted a picture of a distraught lady no longer at ease with her world.
But perhaps to prove she is cool and not in want of care and love, Stephanie has found her groove back as she now attends social events.
And as ever tantalizingly cute and beautiful, it appears the introvert appears set and ready to give marriage yet another shot since Okotie has completely ruled out the likelihood of calling her back.
