Omisore denies wooing electorate with cash ‘IT’S A BLATANT LIE’

Contrary to the tale in the South-West geo-political zone and beyond, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag-bearer in Saturday, August 9, 2014 governorship election in the state of Osun, Senator Iyiola Omisore has refuted wooing the people of the state with cash with a view to winning their support at the polls. He added that it only revolves around falsehood. He described the tale as nothing but an expected rumour, calculated at distracting him.
Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, June 14, 2014, via his spokesperson, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, the engineer turned politician expressed displeasure about the tale, labeling those sponsoring it as mere detractors.
He therefore enjoined the good people of the state designated as the Home of the Living Spring to disregard the information as there is no iota of truth in it, insisting his campaign is people oriented.
“Our campaign is people oriented, devoid of cash for whatever reason. Our campaign is house to house and polling booth to polling booth. This is the season for lies and rumours. More of such will still come but we will not be distracted. If they know it’s true, they should prove it and report to the appropriate authority. They are all liars.”
Meanwhile, despite the denial by the Ife born politician, tale bearers insist that his ongoing house to house guber campaign is being monetized with at least N5,000 per head for whoever is ready to give him his or her vote come August 9, 2014.
Not only that, Omisore was also said to have perfected plans to entice teachers with N40,000 minimum wage if he emerges victorious in the forthcoming election. But when ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted him on Saturday, June 14, 2014, he denied it all.
