Oregon College gun man, Chris Harper Mercer inquired about victims’ religion

British born Chris Harper Mercer, the gunman in the Umpqua Community College shoot-out was said to have asked his victims if they were Christians before shooting.  In response, if you are a Christian, he shoots in the head. But if you are not or you refused answering, he shoots the leg of the victims.

The 26 year-old who moved to the United States of America at a young age is said to have sympathy for Vester Flanagan, the disgruntled former television presenter who shot and killed two of his former colleagues on live television in August, 2015.  His social media profiles have contents that support IRA. 

He killed 9 people and several others were injured.  30 year-old army veteran, also a student of the school, Chris Mintz performed a heroic feat by going after the shooter. He was shot in the leg severally and is said to be recovering in the hospital.

The Roseburg, Oregon occurrence is said to be the 45th school shooting in the US this year.

President Barack Obama has urged citizens and lawmakers to tighten gun-control laws so as to prevent future occurrence as he laments mass shooting has become a routine in United States of America.
