The prosecutor in South African athlete, Oscar Pistorius’ murder trial has accused him of being confused about his evidence as the case resumes in Pretoria; with the prosecution summing-up its case by insisting the athlete committed premeditated murder involving a “deliberate weighing-up of actions”.
Prosecutor, Gerrie Nel, said the athlete acted with legal intention or direct intention when he fired four shots through a toilet door at home, fatally wounding his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
He said Pistorius was “more interested in defending his life than telling the truth,” Mr Nel said. “His story is so improbable it’s a clear indication of his mendacity.”
