Other states allegedly owing salaries

There are currently about 18 states which are also owing their workers with some of the arrears going to nine months.  Also, some of the state’s only owe their parastatals and pensioners running into millions of naira.

Below are some of the states with the number of months they are owing their workers with reference to the outcome of the findings conducted by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Task Force released by the Secretary General of the union, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson.

Rivers                    One

Zamfara                Some workers have not     been paid since 2014

Other states that are also indebted to their workers include Katsina, Jigawa, Imo, Bauchi, Cross River, Kano and Akwa Ibom.
