…but damaging tales trail the union
Couple in the eye of the storm and dangerous gossip, Tiwa Savage and her husband of five months, Tunji Balogun, has finally buried the tales of troubled marriage swirling around town on Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
The former manager of the sensational singer and stunner tweeted, “#woman crushWednesday” (which refers to a person one tremendously admires). And Tiwa Savage replied, “All day everyday”.
The social media term gained popularity when admirers posted pictures and comments on Wednesday about their objects of fascination.
The post indicated that things are either looking up for the couple who tied the nuptial knot in April in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) or there was never any marital problems.
The town had been agog in the last few days about trouble in the union of the entertainment couple.
Gossip has it that Tiwa Savage (34) moved out of their matrimonial home, allegedly following physical abuse and lavish spending of her husband (36), especially on his love children.
The appearance of a new manager (Meka Millions) also fueled speculations. And since both of them refused to talk about the tale, the gossip took wings…until now.
And by Thursday, October 2, 2014, a conflicting report allegedly emanated from Tee Billz. He was said to have told a reporter, “Oh! You are asking me what the problem is? As if you all don’t know already. Now no one seems to remember ‘Doro na Tiwa. Doro is a cheerful giver’. Go and ask Doro Tiwa what the problem is, and leave me alone.”
This message, if true, can be misinterpreted.
Either Tiwa Savage is very generous, especially to him or she’s ‘promiscuous’ (which amounts to a dangerous and damaging allegation).
Some are, however, saying that the troubled marriage tale is orchestrated to amplify the fame of the stunning singer. That, by drawing attention to the union, and later debunking it, interest would have been generated for her brand. And her popularity will soar!
The couple, who staged their traditional marriage in Lagos (Nigeria) on November 23, 2014, with a civil ceremony in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) on April 26, 2014, has to immediately issue an official statement to douse all the rumours in town.
Efforts by ENCOMIUM Weekly to speak to them have been rebuffed.
