Outrage Over Removal Of Toddler’s Eye And Tongue In Kano

Master Musa Murtala (20 months old) was assaulted and battered by his grandmother and step mother on Friday, May 20, 2016. They were reported to have broken all the toddler’s bones and cut off his tongue as well as one of his eyes. This outrageous incident happened in their home in Gulu town in the Rimin Gado local government area of Kano state.

The victim is currently battling to live at the Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano. The chief medical director of the hospital, Nura Idris said that it would take some weeks for the victim to recover, adding that he had deep cuts in different parts of his body.

Nigerians are outraged by this barbaric and wicked act, and are airing their views on the episode…

Shoberu Sharafa: These women are heartless Allah Will Surely Reward two of them

Barr. Miss Chigozie Ifeoma Nwa: Attempted murder!. The suspects should me made to face the Law squarely

Nickbin: I Couldn’t finish reading the story. Its like a scene from a horror movie.
Where did we go wrong? What has happened to the love and compassion in us?

Omoyooba: Petty ego, base materialism and avarice. Most Nigerians have lost their conscience.I knew that with the amount of conscience defying greed in Nigeria, this economic recession will lead to increase in ritual killings and other crimes. It is known that when tongues and genitals are taken it is for rituals. Why the grandmother would do such is what am still confused about. There is a possibility that the real culprit has not been caught. We men tend to be lackadaisical in taking care of kids. The assailant might have struck due to the women’s carelessness.

Emmanuel: My dear, the natural milk of kindness & love in humans, has been replaced with extreme wickedness & evil soul. what has the little baby done to deserve these acts meted out him? One cant explain the reason behind all these acts we experience these days.

Dolapo Ajayi: This is shocking! They must pay dearly for this horrendous act

Dareolu1: Indescribable, just what are people not capable of doing in this country……..una go blame your leaders tire, Nigerian citizens are capable of more wicked acts than the Leaders they always divert blames to….

Oladele: Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him; for the reward of his hands shall be given him. Do you wonder why anyway you toss the Nigerian coin, we seem not to be making any headway. Folks here are just “WICKED” I have seen where a mother with three months old baby lost her husband to an accident and the in-laws came to pack everything including cooking utensils claiming it all belong to their son. No question asked how she will look after the baby in her hands.

Dare Ojo: No conscience again in the land.

Santadingo: I said it before and I’m gonna keep saying it. The children of Nigeria have suffered. They are the ones that ultimately bear the brunt of misrule. They are the ones who are used for rituals everyday in our secret dark rooms, who are crushed to death in our crazy streets by our crazy riders and drivers in their mad scramble for peanuts, who are beaten mercilessly and thrown into wells by crazy parents or guardians, who shed tears of hunger every hour of every day with everyone too busy or crazy to notice their tears. The truth is, 85% of Nigerians are schizophrenic; maddened by poverty and abuse of power. I pity the children in our midst whose daily routine is to struggle for survival in a mad country where they are the only sane ones.

Adebayo Adekunle: This must be a group of witch to kill the destiny of the young boy they must have seen the future.
