Oyakhilome’s divorce mess (15): Pastor Anita Oyakhilome’s personal usher speaks about her boss

A personal usher to Rev. Chris Oyakhilome’s wife, Anita has cried out ‘anonymously’ on the lingering crisis rocking Christ Embassy. She has also pointed that this crisis led to the hiccups in the Oyakhilomes’ marriage. According to her message.

“It is with a very heavy heart and tears in my eyes that when I got to know about the things said about our mother Rev. Anita at the meeting with Pastor Chris in UK on 16/05/2014 along with many other things said before then. I related closely with her as one of her personal ushers and the Rev. Anita I know is a mother in every sense of the word.

“Her humility is out of this world and to hear her being described in such condescending terms is so distressing, and how she is now being portrayed is absolutely ludicrous. I personally believe these meetings with pastors and deacons (I understand another one is holding in Dallas, Texas) is an avenue for ‘programming’ the minds of the brethren to portray Rev. Anita in a bad light such that brethren will see her as a bad person. Truth is those of us who have been in the ministry for many years are past deceiving (apart from some of those who are apparent ‘sell-outs’ because they want to protect whatever they are getting from the ministry). We pray that God should arise and fight for our woman of God and answer the cry of her heart and wipe her tears and justify her”.

Another church member’s post read: “I’ve noticed some comments saying that the couple should come back together or that Rev. Anita should go back to her husband or that she should go back for the sake of the ministry. It may help to consider the fact that they have lived separately for about 15 years and she brought up the children on her own largely. Secondly, it is a well known fact that the MOG core staff members include the likes of madam CEOs  current, past and upcoming.

“If Rev. Anita is concerned about the women around the MOG, it would say that in the interest of peace, the MOG should do something about them seeing that he married his wife (Rev. Anita) not his staff members. I believe that if Pastor Chris really wanted his wife back and he put in effort, sincerity and made changes with all the charm he is known for…. it might have been a different story. Put yourself in her shoes before you start telling her to go back to the marriage. Does he really want her back or is it a case of protecting his reputation.”
