The marital challenge of Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhilome has been on for a while. In fact, some disgruntled critics of the celebrity pastor said he has been keeping this from the public for over half a decade.
According to them, the reason Oyakhilome encourages some of his ministers to live apart from their wives is to justify his own protracted problem with the mother of his two lovely daughters, Sharon and Charlyn.
Pastor Chris shuttles Lagos, Nigeria and South Africa. While his wife, Anita lives in the UK with their children.
It is common for a high-ranking leader of Christ Embassy to oversee churches in a region, while his wife, usually a pastor, takes charge of another zone.
Pastor Chris’ modus operandi which is built on secrecy also contributed to many not knowing that his house is practically on fire.
This is coupled with the fact that opening up on his marital woes would lead to a lethal implosion capable of destroying the church he built almost 30 years ago.
Expectedly, those in the know of the crisis rocking the home of the Oyakhilomes are not close knit members of the church hierarchy who can’t afford to expose their mentor, teacher, benefactor and leader. And despite the widely reported story of Anita’s divorce suit in the UK, there has been no official confirmation or denial of the scandalous development.
Rev. Anita Oyakhilome is allegedly in court seeking dissolution of her marriage of 23 years on grounds of adultery and unreasonable behaviour on the part of her husband.
