Billionaire tele-evangelist and founder of Christ Embassy Church/Believers Love World, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s magnificent Oregun, Lagos residence has been revealed. A four-storey building with a pent house, the White House, as it is called, is at the church’s headquarters. The edifice that is constantly redesigned and remodelled is believed to have cost the prosperity-preaching cleric about N1 billion.
Oyakhilome’s Oregun abode is a true definition of luxury. With most of the materials for its interior and exterior sourced abroad, the beautiful house not known by many, stands out from the other buildings in the over N2 billion-worth Believers Love World International headquarters.
A source who knows practically everything about Christ Embassy’s White House told ENCOMIUM Weekly that Pastor Chris is more comfortable here than in any luxury hotel in Lagos. We further learnt that the edifice, with two additional floors added last year, also accommodates Pastor Chris’ immediate family whenever they are in town.
“Pastor’s parents stay here when they visit Lagos. His cousin and next in the church’s hierarchy also has a suite there. Not only him, the most financially committed member of Christ Embassy is usually reserved a suite at the White House.”
Mimicking the American White House, the palatial structure is said to have some parts tagged Washington DC and New York. It also has 24-hour security with no access by visitors or church members who have no business in the neighbourhood.
A source further revealed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that the security architecture of the area is so complex that it is difficult to know its access and exit points. Before now, only a few knew that the billionaire preacher lives within the Christ Embassy premises, from where he co-ordinates the multi-billion business empire that spans publishing, merchandising, hospitality, multi-media production, financial services, information technology among other business interests.
Now, ENCOMIUM Weekly can authoritatively reveal that the man of means and architect-turned fisher of men has since made a secluded section of Christ Embassy Church headquarters a befitting home for himself, immediate family and key church sponsors.
