The Africa’s most successful music duo of Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square has broken up! Not only that, things have fallen apart in the entire family of the famous musicians, the centre is not likely to hold any more, if the social media reports are anything to bank on.

The teeming fans of the multiple award-winning music group and followers of their brother, cum director, Jude Okoye woke up on Friday, April 18, 2014, to see the shocking tweet of the latter, which suggested the longest union is on the brink of collapsing. This was coming few days after youngster, Wizkid and female act, Waje parted ways with their manager, Tom Godwin.

“After over 10 years of hard work, it’s over. Am done”, Jude’s tweet read.

In a swift reaction to the tweet, P-Square’s publicist, Bayo Adetu, despite Jude’s post, described the report as irresponsible blogging.

“I am too busy to give some wanna be blogger traffic. I don’t know where that report is coming from. Maybe they just want to get traffic to their site. It’s baseless and untrue,” Adetu explained.

Authoritative sources, however, revealed that all is not well with P-Square and their brother, Jude. There are unconfirmed reports that the duo didn’t only engage in a cold war, they also had physical combat on Wednesday, April 16, which has led to legal tussle, with one of the twins, Peter, calling for a break-up and sharing of their estate.

“Yes, they fought this week. Peter even left a mark on Paul’s left eye. But the fight wasn’t during rehearsal. Which rehearsal? Peter has refused to do anything with P-Square for weeks now. Forget that he was at his brother’s wedding, things are not good between them right now. They were even invited to perform at President Jonathan daughter’s wedding but they didn’t go. Peter wants out. He said Paul and Jude are sidelining him. That if they push out 200 songs, 199 would be songs Paul did. That people are now calling him a dancer in P-Square. Peter is really angry. He’s even the cool and friendly one between the brothers but he is not himself right now.

“And then he accused his brother, Jude of disrespecting his wife. Peter and Jude haven’t spoken in weeks. Peter said Jude has been disrespecting Lola for years.

“The brothers are really angry at each other. The police are even involved. This week, either the commissioner of police or someone from his office visited their house.

“The worst part is that they have invited a lawyer to share property o. They want to share everything. The lawyer was at their house, I think, on Thursday. Peter said no more P-Square joint ventures. You know, they own everything together, including a house in Omole (Ikeja), Parkview (Lagos) and Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Except something is done fast P-Square is about to be finished. But I know that people have been intervening and begging

them to reconsider, that they are the biggest music duo in Africa. Nobody will benefit if they split. The power to make money is in their togetherness”, said the report as quoted by bloggers.

All efforts to speak with the duo has proven abortive. Jude didn’t pick our calls, neither did he respond to our sms as at the time of filing this report.

Our message read, “Greetings, sir. Can you confirm if it true that you have left P-Square? What is your reaction to the break-up and issue between you and Lola, which allegedly fueled the crisis? – Rasheed Abubakar, ENCOMIUM.”

However, an inside source debunked part of the news being peddled in the media about P-Square, saying, “When things like this happen, people take the advantage of their situation to spread lies. At the same time, you can’t force them to talk, that’s the problem.

“As far as I know, they attended President Jonathan daughter’s wedding. There are even pictures of them. I have it. When I saw the report, I was disappointed, and doubted if other claims in the reports are true. Honestly, I have not been to their house after Paul’s wedding in Port-Harcourt, but I am sure it’s not as big as this,” the source revealed.

On Sunday April 20, 2014, ENCOMIUM Weekly sent the following questions  to Peter Okoye through his publicist, Bayo Adetu but he didn’t reply us till we went to press by 10 pm. Our questions read:
