P-Square’s Collabo leads most-watched music video on Youtube! – Flavour, Mavins, Kiss Daniel also make list

By well over 9 million views, the video for P-Square’s Collabo which features Don Jazzy leads the elite most-watched music videos on video sharing website, Youtube list – a jaw dropping gap!

The duo have continued their unmatched record on the Google-owned video website which has seen their videos garner more than 150 million views combined.

From Personally with about 50 million views, to Shekini and Taste the Money with more than 15 million views each; to Alingo and Do Me with over 10 million views each – the singing and dancing twin brothers from Anambra hold the record as Nigeria’s video kings.

This year, despite over a decade on the scene, the duo are still head and shoulder above the rest with the visuals for their hit, Collabo featuring the prolific Don Baba (as some prefer to call him) standing undisputed as the most watched music video in Nigeria.

P Square ft Don Jazzy

– Collabo (9.68m views)

Continuing their culture of churning out hit videos, P Square released the visuals for possibly the biggest song off their sixth studio album, Collabo on February 23.

The flick, a classy pictorial with a brief comic storyline, was directed by the prolific duo of Jude Engees Okoye and Clarence Peters and was shot in South Africa. So far (Friday, August 14, 2015), it has pulled 9,678,814 views and is expected to cross the 10 million in no time.

 

Flavour ft Chidinma

– Ololufe (4.25m views)

2nite Entertainment act, Flavour is distinguishing himself as Mr. Versatile as he once again delivers another masterpiece of a song, with a refreshing video on Ololufe, which is off his fourth studio album Thankful, and it features Ms Kedike, Chidinma.

This beautiful video shot by Godfather Productions in Cape Town, South Africa has been viewed almost five million times, which comes as no surprise.

A classic romantic video for an equally classic romantic Yoruba tune! It was released on February 10, 2015 and has been watched 4,254,552 times so far.

 

Davido ft Uhuru, DJ Buckz

– The Sound (2.93m views)

Starting the year with a bang precisely January 30, Davido released the video for his collaboration with the South African duo of Uhuru and DJ Buckz.

The flick was shot by Sesan in Dubai, UAE and features the Aye crooner and multiple award winner supposedly skydiving. It has been viewed 2,926,305 times so far.

 

Kiss Daniel ft Tiwa Savage, Davido

– Woju remix (2.57m views)

2014 was the breakout year for young handsome singer, Kiss Daniel and he has continued strongly this year.

The G Worldwide signed artiste cashed in on the popularity of his mega hit song Woju, and crafted a remix which featured superstars, Tiwa Savage and Davido.

A la the original, the video was shot by Adasa Cookey (Squareball) and was released March 11, 2015.

2,569,341 is the number of times it has been watched thus far.

 

Mavins – Looku looku

(2.37m views)

The Don Jazzy-led Supreme Mavin Dynasty keeps going strong. Last year, it was the massive hit Dorobucci, this time it’s Looku looku, which like Dorobucci, features the whole Mavin crew.

The video was shot by Unlimited L.A and released on February 20, 2015; and as at Friday, August 14 it has garnered 2,365,239 views

 

Davido – Fans Mi (2.27m views)

This Shizzi-produced afrobeat-hiphop fusion single by Davido features American rapper and Maybach Music artiste, Meek Mill, who is currently embroiled in a heated controversy with fellow artiste, Drake. Fans Mi was June 9, 2015 and has been watched 2,267,592 times.

 

Olamide – Bobo (1.95m views)

The street king and YBNL Nation boss comes with another banger entitled Bobo. The visual features special cameo appearances by label mates Viktoh, Lil Kesh and Chinko Ekun.

It was shot and directed by Mr. Moe Musa at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos and has been viewed 1,947,258 times since its release on May 7, 2015.

 

Yemi Alade ft Phyno

– Taking over me (1.77m views)

MAMA Best Female Act winner, Yemi Alade and Best Hip Hop Act nominee, Phyno combine to create this tune, Taking Over Me.

The colourful flick (the norm with the singing diva) was directed by Justin Campos and Taiye Aliyu and was released on February 3, 2015. It has pulled 1,772,458 views so far.

 

Korede Bello

– Godwin (1.78m views)

Korede Bello’s Godwin became so popular that not only did many people use the tune as their ring tone, but many others re-christened themselves Godwin.

The video for the victory celebration song has been viewed 1,775,447 times since it was released on June 3, 2015.

The video opens with a funny skit featuring comedian, Bovi and was directed by Adasa Cookey.

 

Iyanya ft Don Jazzy

-Gift (1.68m views)

Triple MG and Mavin Records connect as Iyanya collaborates with Don Jazzy to produce this tune entitled Gift.

The pretty flick with bright colourful theme has garnered 1,684,102 views. It was released March 6, 2015.
