Paseda honoured

The ancient City of Omu Ijebu, Ogun State, was agog on Saturday, March 21, 2015, as the Olomu of Omu, HRM Oba Mobolaji Oludaisi Monsuro conferred a chieftaincy title on the Unity Party of Nigeria governorship flagbearer in Ogun state, Prince Olarotimi Olatunde Paseda and his wife, Princess Oritsejemine.

The duo were conferred with the traditional chieftaincy title of Otunba Adeneye and Yeye Otunba Adeneye of Ijebu Omu.

Speaking during the ceremony at Omu Town Hall, Oba Monsuro described Paseda as a loving person, a philanthropist and a man who has contributed a lot to the development of Omu and its environs.

The celebrator, Otunba Paseda thanked the oba and the entire people of Omu both in and out of Nigeria saying he decided to accept the title because it’s a family thing and it is a call to serve. ‘It will motivate me more to assist the people and the community at large” he added.

The ceremony was attended by over seven traditional rulers from Ijebu area in Ogun State, friends, members of the UPN in Nigeria, the party’s new chairman, Professor Bankole Okuwa, General Secretary, Dr Olatunji Olateju and others.
