THE Redeemed Christian Church of God has quashed the rumour that senior pastor and saxophonist of the ministry, Pastor Kunle Ajayi has dumped the church that brought him to limelight.
The ministry through one of their spokesperson, Pastor Kunmi Oyekunle, who spoke to ENCOMIUM Weekly on Sunday, August 11, 2013, debunked the allegation saying it was a mere rumour and that he was ever the choir leader who ministered during the Minister’s Conference and the just concluded annual convention of the church held from Monday, August 5 to Sunday, August 11, 2013, inside their prestigious Holy Ghose Arena at the Redemption Camp, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
“It is nothing but mere rumour. He is still part and parcel of RCCG. He was very active during the just concluded annual convention and the Ministers Conference. There is nothing like that.”
It was alleged few weeks back that the Senior Pastor and Choirmaster General of Redeemed Worldwide, Pastor Kunle Ajayi is quitting the ministry that brought her into limelight. It was alleged that he won a juicy contract as a musician in the United States of America which would take him from Nigeria to reside permanently abroad. They claimed that after giving it a thought, he decided to have a heart to heart discussion with his mentor and spiritual father, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, that he won’t be able to continue with his spiritual role in the ministry. His reason was that he is going for greener pasture abroad.
Few days ago, it was also reported online that he has finally called it quit and has made plan to set up his own ministry abroad.
Pastor Kunle Ajayi joined the RCCG after being healed of a gullet infection in the ministry. As a saxophonist, he is known for ushering in Pastor Adeboye anytime he wants to preach.
