Paul Pogba’s deal with Manchester United looks done and dusted as Jose Mourinho’s No 1 summer target will be landing at a total cost of £112million.
Manchester United have agreed to give Juventus £92m to buy back the 23 year old France star, who left Old Trafford for just £800,000 four years ago.
The delay in the signing of the midfield maestro has been settled as Manchester United have agreed to pay Pogba’s Italian-born Dutch agent, Mino Raiola, £20m, while Juventus agreed to pay the agent £4m.
The deal was hastened as Real Madrid have said they are still interested in the French youngster.
Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane was quoted as saying: “Everyone is interested in Pogba.
“When you’re Madrid, you want the best. Until August 31 anything can happen.”
With the latest development, the Champions League winners accept that they cannot compete for Pogba and are ready to turn their attention to signing Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko with the Magpies wanting £30m for the 26-year-old (Daily Telegraph).
The deal which is expected to be sealed in the next 48 hours will see Pogba become the most expensive footballer ever, edging Real Madrid £86m and £80m signing of Gareth Bale’s from Tottenham and Cristiano Ronaldo’s from United, respectively.
