Pay me before I sue you, Oliseh tells NFF

Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has vented his frustration at the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) for its failure to pay him his outstanding wages.

Oliseh coached the national team from July 14, 2015, to February 26, 2016 when he resigned over a “lack of support and contract violations”.

He posted on Twitter today (July 8, 2016) …

It would be recalled that Oliseh upon his resignation in February, claimed that asides himself, the NFF also owed the players and assistant coaches bonuses.

He tweeted:

The NFF, however, denied owing Oliseh, insisting in a publication on their website that the former coach was paid his wages in full before he resigned.

“Contrary to claims by Oliseh that he was being owed wages and did not receive support from the NFF, he was this week paid the sum of N20 million, being salaries for three months (December 2015, January 2016 and February 2016).

“The only money he is owed is the bonus for the World Cup qualifier against Swaziland in Port Harcourt in November 2015, which the NFF had promised to pay players and officials on resumption of camping for the matches against Egypt,” the NFF added.
