The Peoples Democratic Party caucus in Ebonyi State yesterday (Tuesday, October 7, 2014) endorsed the minister of health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu as its consensus candidate for the 2015 gubernatorial election.
The enlarged stakeholders’ meeting which comprised members of the state PDP caucus, law makers, stakeholders and youth leaders across the 13 local government areas of the state, was presided over by Governor Martin Elechi at the Government House.
Sources at the meeting which lasted over six hours revealed that the choice of Chukwu was in the spirit of rotation as approved by the party.
Other aspirants who have their eyes on the governorship seat could yet challenge the decision to select Chukwu ahead of them.
