“We are also planning a red ball next year to mark the 10th anniversary.  The event will be used to create awareness on the plight of children from Bakassi.  The occasion will also serve as an opportunity to honour deserving Nigerians who have identified with the plight of the children of Bakassi.”

Speaking further on the journey so far, “It has been a long journey but we give thanks to God.  I am happy with the progress the children are making.  They have been excelling in every area, especially in academics. All the children in the university came out with first class. They are well travelled and have enjoyed tremendous exposure, in short we are bringing up Bakassi children that will become leaders of this country.

“We have lived as a family, shared love and affection.  Some of them have gone back to school, Betty the baby of the family is starting school soon.  I will say I am fulfilled and encouraged to move on with this noble cause.  I intend to do more. The quest to do more led to the construction of the new home so that we can accommodate more children from the creek of Bakassi. I will be grateful if Nigerians can assist us raise more funds for the children of Bakassi.”
