‘Please, let me talk to Taiwo’, Kehinde Oshadipe pleads at cemetery

KEHINDE Oshadipe who lost her twin sister (Taiwo) on Friday, October 3, 2014, made an appeal at the cemetery to have a private moment with her today (Wednesday, October 15, 2014).

Before the white and gold casket bearing the remains of Taiwo, 30, and mother of a boy, Obama (born in July 2013) was lowered, Kehinde, in an all-white attire, pleaded to have a word with her.

And the officiating pastor (Mr. Adenekan) from Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abule Egba (Lagos) zone, permitted the distraught young woman to have five minutes of privacy.

All those at the Victoria Court Vault (on Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos) didn’t hear what she said.

Thereafter, the casket was lowered.  There was no dust-to-dust rite, as Redeemed Christian Church members don’t allow the practice.

The funeral was underway around 11.15 a.m, and ended about an hour later.  All the prayers were said by her grave  – no church service at all.

Attended by only family members (who were all dressed in black) and a few friends, it was largely a private funeral without fanfare.
