Police accidentally shoots down TV crew member during robbery

A crew member on the long-running TV series “Cops” was killed when police officers being filmed for the show opened fire while breaking up an attempted robbery at a fast-food restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska, authorities said yesterday (August 27).

38-year-old Bryce Dion of Boston – the audio supervisor for “Cops” – is the first crew member of the TV show to be killed while filming police in action, executives with the show’s production company said.

The man suspected of carrying out the robbery was also killed.
