‘Police didn’t arrest my wife in Osogbo -Mercy Agbe’s husband, Larry Gentry cries

Star actress Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Larry Gentry has rubbished social media reports that his wife was arrested by the police in Osogbo,c apital of Osun state on Wednesday, April 27,2016.He described the publication as spurious and unfounded.

Speaking with encomium.ng on Thursday, April 28,2016,the CEO of La Veronique Hotel, Oregun, Lagos further described the story as pure figment of people’s imagination. He therefore enjoined the public to disregard it totally.

“There wasn’t anything like arrest in the whole issue.I think those posting the story just did it without any investigation. I really don’t know how they got their information.

“The truth is that my wife was in Osogbo yesterday. She went for a movie shoot with some of her colleagues. And in the process, I think there was a small issue which involved the police, and it was resolved immediately. But the incident attracted a lot of people. She was not even alone, some of her colleagues were also there, and nobody was taken away from that spot. And the police later visited them at the movie location and apologized to them. The police men are very nice. They really did well. They didn’t even want anything reported concerning the issue.

“My wife has returned to Lagos since yesterday. She is on another movie location at Abule Egba area, Lagos now. We’re surprised to have read all the frivolous things that have been posted about her. It’s all rubbish and unfounded”.

Meanwhile, gunshots reportedly rent the air on Wednesday, April 27,2016, at Olaiya junction in Osogbo, Osun state capital as policemen from the state command allegedly arrested Aigbe in a very hostile way over traffic offence.

The incident was said to have attracted a huge crowd as onlookers within the vicinity were waiting to catch a glimpse of the star actress.

However, encomium.ng tried getting across to the beautiful thespian  on the issue to no avail. We later got her hubby, Larry Gentry who shed light on the incident, describing it as nothing but frivolous.
