‘It’s still under discreet investigation’
Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmus on Friday, May 13, 2016, told encomium.ng that the command is on top of the case involving Mr. Lekan Shonde who allegedly killed his
wife, Ronke Shonde on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at their residence in Egbeda, Lagos. She added that the case is still ongoing under discreet investigation.
In her reply to our text on the issue on Friday, May 13, 2016, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) said, “The case is still ongoing under discreet investigation.”
Meanwhile, in a bid to confirm the development concerning the matter, encomium.ng, on Friday, May 13,2016, visited the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti ,Yaba, Lagos, where Shonde is reportedly being detained, but all efforts to have access to him hit a brick wall.
However, we were directed to the Homicide Department handling the matter where we met the officer in charge, Sergeant Akpan, who in turn referred us to the PPRO.
He said, “I am not in a position to speak on the case. The CP is in charge, and you can only get every detailed information concerning it from the PPRO. Thank you.”
