Politicos, celebs, others rock K1 Live Unusual Concert +Reasons 2Face didn’t attend

On Friday, November 21, 2014, the biggest Fuji-pop concert, K1 Live Unusual held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, with exciting performances from some of the biggest names in the Nigerian music industry.

Fuji legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (K1 The Ultimate) performed some of his popular hits like Talazo system, Baby mi show colour re, Omo Niger, Eyo with super collaborations with indigenous rapper Olamide, 9ice, Sasha P, Muma Gee, Ara and his daughter Honey B.

The unusual concert which attracted lots of music lovers was hosted by the King of comedy, Alibaba, with rib crackers from Buchi, while 2Shotz, Sir Victor Olaiya, Saheed Osupa, Shola Allyson, DNMT and celebrity disc jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt took turns to entertain.

However, some notable super stars, including living legend, 2Face; Bonsue Fuji maestro,Adewale Ayuba; Highlife musician, Lagbaja and leading female act, Omawumi, didn’t attend the well packaged event, which lasted for five fours (11pm-4am).

All efforts to speak with the organisers proved abortive. However, 2Face now preferred to be called 2Baba, who promised his fans unusual performances during the awareness campaign for the show, pulled-out at the last-minute to kick-off the first International Hennessy Artistry Club Tour, held in South-Africa, same day. He performed alongside StarBoy, Wizkid at the Harem Nightclub in South Africa.

His Excellency Engr Rauf Adesola Aregbesola, the executive Governor of Osun state, first lady of Lagos, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, General Kollington Ayinla, Femi Adebayo, Dayo Amusa, Olakunle Afonja, Chief Kenny Ogungbe, Tunde Kelani, Chris Jeyibo, Seun Soyinka, ID Ogungbe, Mary Ali Baba, Aremo Oniru, Doris Simeon, Kunle Afolayan, Fathia Balogun, Ayo Animashaun, Chris Ihidero, Yaw, Toolz, Tunde Ednut, Tee Billz, Toke Makinwa, Teju Baby Face, Sikiratu Sindodo and other notable faces were in the house.

The exquisite concert was produced by Green light Productions and proudly supported by LASSA, LIRS, Beat Fm, BHM Group, HIP TV, Ray Power, Primetime Africa, Naija Fm, Classic Fm, Kennis Music, Sodium Brand Solutions, and many others.
