PROJECT Fame artiste, Praiz is now one of MTN’s ambassadors. By all indications, the handsome dude is racing strenuously to meet up with his colleagues at MTN Project Fame. In this interview with ENCOMIUM Weekly, Praiz spoke about his upcoming album, secret of his success and much more…
What are you working on now?
At the moment, I’m working on my album which will drop in the first quarter of 2014. I have also been on tour of the country and outside the country.
How will you describe the journey once Project Fame shot you into limelight?
The journey so far has been interesting. It has also been a learning process for me. Above all, it’s been progressive. I had some trying times after Project Fame because I had fame and the platform but limited resources to push my works. So, I kept recording, performing for free to keep my face out there. In 2010, I got signed to a record label, X3M Music and it’s been great.
What is the secret of your success?
God, family, hard work, patience, humility and my management are the secrets of my success.
How do you handle your female fans?
It depends on what you mean. One thing I know is I love and respect my female fans.
What will you say stands you out all along?
I will say my vocal dexterity and my style of music.
What has been the pains and gains?
I have no pains because I have no regrets. I’m grateful to God for everything I am today. Gains so far are numerous. I’ve gotten a few endorsement deals. They are of course good reasons to jollificate.
As MTN ambassador, how will you describe the experience?
It’s a great feeling to be chosen out of so many people to represent a great brand such as MTN. I am happy about it and like I say, it only gets better.
How much and what’s the duration of your deal with MTN?
I’d rather not give details about it but it was good enough to make me and my family happy.
