Prince Lanre Tejuoso steps up Ogun Central Senatorial ambition

Lanre Tejuoso, son of Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, who is a serving Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun state is stepping up to achieve his senatorial ambition next year. Prince Tejuoso, one of the grandsons of late Iyalode of Egbaland, Chief Mrs. Bisoye Tejuoso has indeed become an icon in Egba politics.
A medical doctor, he joined Ogun politics in 2007 and contested the 2007 Ogun Central Senatorial District on the platform of All Nigeria Political Party (ANPP). Though he lost the election to first daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, Tejuoso remained resolute ever since despite many assassination attempts.
In 2011, Prince Lanre Tejuoso played a prominent role in the actualization of Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s gubernatorial ambition. Prince Tejuoso remained the most trusted ally and one of the key kitchen members of the governor today.
His contribution to the election of the governor paved the way for him to successfully work in three ministries in the last three years in Ogun state. Governor Amosun appointed the Egba Oke-Ona prince Commissioner for Special Duties, a juicy position he enjoyed till 2012.
In 2013, Prince Tejuoso was moved to Ministry of Environment which gave birth to the ‘KEEP OGUN STATE CLEAN’ project. His meritorious service to Ogun State Government also earned him another opportunity to serve in the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, a position he occupies till date.
Prince Tejuoso, empowered over 1,000 youths and aged with cash award of N5,000 with a new savings account through his political group called ‘ENI AFE’. The empowerment scheme which took place at the premises of the state secretariat of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) therefore moved to APC secretariat to submit his nomination form where he was received by a crowd.
