Project Fame: Anderson, Biko say goodbye

Anderson and Biko have become the latest contestants of the MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 8 to be shown the exit. At the last nomination show, the Judges felt that most of the performances were below average and this resulted in general probation, leaving the power to save the very best via votes in the hands of West Africa.

Without much ado, the hosts revealed the names of the five contestants with the least number of votes; which means that all the contestants, except Biko, Joy, Anderson, Jeff, and Kumi were saved by the viewers’ votes.

But just before these five performed again for a chance to get back into the Academy, Isaac Geralds, a contestant in Season 4 thrilled with one of his hit songs – Fall in love.

Biko, Anderson, Kumi, Jeff, and Joy then mounted the stage one after the other to perform again for a chance to remain in the race. In the end, the Judges decided to keep Kumi, the Faculty saved Jeff, while the contestants saved Joy. And that marked the end of the road for Anderson and Biko.

As always, the moment of goodbye is the hardest. The evening was no exception as Biko’s parting words were heavy with emotions, while Anderson could not hold back tears as he gave a brief appreciation speech.

The show ended with the two’s last performances. Biko performed Ordinary people by John Legend while Anderson took a bow with Story of my life by One Republic.
