PROPHET AJANAKU’S AIDES SPIT FIRE

‘Stop reporting our pastor dead, he is not late’

INCREDIBLE!  A month after Prophet Ireti Ajanaku’s death, his followers have still refused to acknowledge his passage.

Some of his aides who called ENCOMIUM Weekly few days ago expressed their annoyance and displeasure over the widespread reports that their leader has passed on.  Specifically, the church secretary, Mrs. Rose, in a chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly, claimed the man is not dead yet. She flared up when we referred to her spiritual father as late Prophet Ajanaku.  “Who told you he is dead?  He is not dead yet.  Stop referring to him as late Prophet Ajanaku.”

Investigation by ENCOMIUM Weekly revealed that the church members still hold vigil for the deceased.  According to one of them who spoke to us under anonymity, “We still don’t believe he is dead.”  Shockingly, we learnt till date, they have not officially announced his demise in the church.  According to our source, that’s why they have not announced his obituary.

Meanwhile, his young widow, Joy, has finally taken over the pastoral duty of the church.  Information available to ENCOMIUM Weekly revealed that she was in charge of ministration of Sunday’s service.  Despite the war her in-laws waged against her, we gathered she is handling the ministry bravely as if her hubby only travelled.

GENESIS OF THE CONTROVERSY

The whole issue began on Sunday, August 18 2013, when it was reported that controversial pastor, Prophet Ajanaku had passed on, on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Gbongan, Osun State.  Few hours later, it was announced that he had resurrected.

We later gathered the church members brought his corpse to Lagos and started a five-day vigil, praying for his resurrection.  However, on Thursday, August 22, 2013, after several confusion as to the state of his health, he was confirmed dead by a team of doctors. His corpse was deposited at the Military Hospital, Yaba, Lagos on Friday, August 23, 2013.  While the family members believed their son is dead, the church members still cling to their belief that he only went on a spiritual exercise.
