Prophet PAUL MAFUAH celebrates @ 40

General Overseer, God’s Preparatory Ministry, Prophet Paul Hilda Mafuah recently clocked 40. And celebrating the milestone, the respected man of God got a precious birthday present, Honda Pilot, SUV, 2012 model from one his church members and Lagos-based businessman, Elder Danquah E. Dainty.

In this interview with ENCOMIUM Weekly, the Ogwashi-Ukwu, Delta born cleric talks about his life and fast-growing ministry…

How does it feel to clock 40?

I am very excited celebrating my birthday this beautiful day. There is no year I don’t celebrate my birthday. But this one is spiritual.

Why is it unique?

It was designed to give God His due glory. When I was  37, the Lord spoke to me  that I should  not mark  my birthday until I’m 40. The Lord told me, specifically that at my 40th birthday, a house and other goodies of life would be given to me. And I remember sharing it with the congregation that the Lord said I should not mark my birthday until am 40.

To my greatest surprise, it came to pass in March 2013. A house and other good gifts were given to me. Over the years, the Lord has continued to surprise me.

When your birthday was shifted to Saturday, February 1, 2014, did you have a strong belief it will be this splendid?

I did not. It is just like a dream. Because we have other serious challenges. As a leader, one needs to be reasonable.

There was no way I would have preferred a social gathering to the things of God. We deposited several millions of naira to have our own property. It was a wonderful project and the differences we have so far made are as a result of what makes a good team under my care.

propWho made your attire, it is beautiful?

This is courtesy of my elder in the church. He contracted a fashion expert from India, who was here today to celebrate with me. He made the attire since last year.

Can you tell us when you started your ministry?

I started God’s Preparatory Ministry when I was 24. I can tell you that God has been faithful. We must come to a point where we decide and believe what the Bible says. Do we believe that Jesus Christ took away our sin. If you have that at the back of your mind, challenges will go the way they came. I believe the time to do well is when you take what God has put in your hand serious. Our crawling, standing and walking periods weren’t easy. God is faithful. I wasn’t a pastor but was worshipping in a church as a prayer warrior when the message came and immediately I did not make excuses. People have already started calling me pastor before I became one.

When was God’s Preparatory Ministry inaugurated?

The church was inaugurated on February 14, 1998.

What was your major challenge?

My problem then was space. I tried to get a space at one hotel but there was no chair.  I begged one Sunday like that to get rented chairs and to my greatest surprise all of them granted my request without collecting a kobo because God was at work.

At 40, what are we expecting?

Life has just begun at 40. This is the age of great commitment. It also signifies strength. I am equally trusting God to do more exceeding things on what He has trusted into my hands. I have written a book. I am starting an outreach ministry that will drive the world to keep on pressing for our Lord Jesus Christ.

What is your advice to Christians?

Praying without ceasing for our leaders. And I want to tell all true Christians that 2014 will be beautiful and wonderful. God has never failed any generation that put their thrust in Him. I pray that youths of this great nation be sold out to the King of kings. He that has spoken will confirm it.
