Queen Ayo Balogun’s Abeokuta Hilltop mansion almost ready

‘It’s the Lord’s doing’, she gushes

One of the happiest entertainers at the moment is juju queen, Ayotunde Kofoworola Balogun, simply known as Ayo Balogun. And the reason is obvious.

ENCOMIUM Weekly was informed by an industry source that the ageless musician will soon complete a multimillion naira house at Hilltop, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to the source, the edifice is a site to behold, especially the architectural design. The sprawling structure sitting on two plots, we were told, has so far set the gorgeous entertainer back by about N150 million.

The source further disclosed that all the materials used for the construction of the building were imported, except for a few sourced locally.

According to the source, the edifice has about three flats, swimming pool and spacious car park that can accommodate about 12 cars at a time.

“Queen Ayo Balogun’s Hilltop mansion in Abeokuta will soon be completed. It’s just a matter of months. I learnt she’s has started putting finishing touches to the structure. I also learnt she have completed it since 2015, but she abandoned it for her Oniru multimillion naira home which was completed towards the end of 2014. But now, she’s only concentrating on the Abeokuta mansion which comprises three flats and each of them is three-bedroom.

Queen Ayo Balogun acquired the land about three years ago. And work started on it immediately but was suspended later. But now, she has accelerated work on the site. Before the year runs out, she is likely to open it, and that will make her fourth house. I learnt she built her first house in Baruwa, Ipaja area, followed by the one in Ajao Estate. Then, the beautiful masterpiece in Oniru, all in Lagos State. I even learnt she has undeveloped pieces of land in other parts of Lagos State. The woman, no doubt, is among the most blessed entertainers right now.”

When ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted the gap-toothed musician on Saturday, July 16, 2016, she confirmed the news. She added it’s the Lord’s doing.

“Yes, my house in Abeokuta is almost completed. I bless God for that. It’s not by my power or might, it’s the work of God. It’s part of God’s manifestation in my journey as an artiste. I thank God for everything.

“On the amount spent on it so far, I can’t comment on that yet. All I know is that I have spent a lot of money since the beginning till date. Acquiring land at Hilltop, Abeokuta, Ogun state alone is very expensive, maybe because of the calibre of the people there. It’s very expensive getting even a plot but I thank God, I have joined the league of landlords in the area. It’s not easy but God has always been on my side. I am almost done with it. By the special grace of God, everything will be completed before the end of the year. And that’s my country home on account of the fact that my husband is from Abeokuta, although I am from Ilesha, Osun State.”
