QUILUX REBUILDS RESTAURANT

Shina Peller’s Quilux has renovated its traditional restaurant, a part of which was burnt not long ago. The new structure, on the lounge’s compound, is attracting loads of customers.

Quilux is the biggest lounge on the Island.

 

 

FAST-RISING ACT, TYSON NOIR UNVEILED – Tyson Noir is a singer/songwriter.He grew up in Lagos (Nigeria) but attended university in the UK.  Currently unsigned to any label,Tyson Noir has put out a couple of singles.

In April, 2013, he released an EP entitled, Dreaming In Colour.

Tyson Noir, born Oluwatosin Oki on the March 22, 1991, has always had the passion for music.After discovering he could sing in the university, he has been honing his skills as a vocalist and a songwriter.

Tyson draws musical inspiration from artistes such as Sam Cooke, Michael Jackson, Asa, Wande Coal, Frank Ocean, James Fauntleroy, Florence Welch and so many others.

While in the university, Tyson Noir had the opportunity to open for major Nigerian acts like Eldee, Wande Coal and Ikechukwu in the UK.

With the completion of LLB Law and Msc in International Business Law, Tyson Noir returned to his hometown Lagos,Nigeria in October 2013 and has since settled in with the Nigerian music industry. With weekly performances at Bogobiri and Ember Creek (both in Lagos) and the release of his widely applauded single Hollywood Girl which was produced by Starboy Entertainment’s Maleek Berry, Mercy which was produced by Sarz as well as the remix of Mercy, which featured Reminisce, the highly talented singer has proven to be a force to reckon with.

His latest single, Turn it Up featuring Lax and produced by Legendary Beatz, is definitely a club banger.

Tyson Noir is currently working on a couple of singles with Starboy Entertainment’s Legendary Beats and Maleek Berry, as well as fast- rising producer TMXO.

And with a nation- wide concert and a UK tour billed for this year, Tyson Noir is ready to take his music to the next level in Nigeria and the UK.

 

 

FRIENDS STAGE CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION FOR AKEEM SODEINDE – On the evening of Thursday, May 14, 2015, friends of Akeem Sodeinde staged a candlelight procession for him. Hundreds of friends and associates of the fallen General walked in his honour from Law School through Adetokunbo Ademola, Ahmadu Bello Way, Adeola Hopewell to Idowu Taylor, where his troubled club, Movida is located.

At Movida, they sang and prayed for the repose of the soul of the late king of night life. At the end of the programme, participants were entertained with asun, drinks and water.

Some celebrities we spotted at the memorial event were Rasheed Muri Okunola (RMO), Olumide Osoba, TBillz, Frank Okamigbo, George Richard et al.

 

 

EMEKA ODOGWU FLIES OUT – Chief Sunny Odogwu’s son, Emeka Odogwu is in the US as you read this. Basically on a business trip, the dude is expected back in two weeks.

 

 

OLA ODUNFA SPOTTED! Managing Director, Ola Communications Ltd, Ola Odunfa was spotted on the afternoon of Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Race Course Road, as he parked his light brown Lexus jeep with registration number AAA60AM by the road side. He actually had a discussion with a lady for about 45 minutes before he sped off towards Falomo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

 

PRINCE HOTEL BERTHS – Lagos businessman, Benji Adetona has completed his new hotel. Prince Hotel was officially opened on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

 

 

CELESTINE BABAYARO SIGHTED – Celestine Babayaro was spotted at D’Place by Papas, Lekki, Lagos, on Tuesday, My 12, 2015 night at about 11:40pm. He was driven into D’Place in a silver Benz car. Celestine did not get out of the car throughout his stay at the club. The guy with him did all the runs before they drove out in the tinted automobile.

 

 

ADEYINKA JOHNSON @ MEDPLUS – CEO, Johnson Engineering, Engr. Adeyinka Johnson, who recently returned from the US with his family, was at MedPlus Pharmacy, Keffi, S/W, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Tuesday, May 14, 2015.

He was there to purchase some medication prescribed for his son.

 

 

CHIKE NWAGBOGU AND HIS BICYCLE – Owner of Bogobiri House, Chike Nwagbogu did the unusual last Tuesday. The dude opted for a bicycle ride to a meeting. Two things certainly informed Chike’s choice. First is the acute scarcity of fuel and again the traffic situation on Awolowo Road area of Ikoyi, Lagos.

 

 

PRINCE ADEYEMI ADEYEYE AND FRIENDS STORM TARZAN JETTY – On Saturday, May 9, 2015, Prince Adeyemi and friends stormed Tarzan Jetty to commence a leisure trip to Ilase Beach. They were actually going for a picnic.

Fun-loving Prince Adeyemi Adeyeye is the owner of Flower Plus on Maitama Sule Street, Ikoyi, Lagos.

 

 

JIMMY JATT’S SISTER, DUPE AMU RELOCATES TO THE UK – Jimmy Jatt’s younger sister, Dupe, who got married sometime last year, has relocated to the UK. We are not sure if she would be shuttling Lagos and London since she still has one or two things to do here.

 

 

AMERICAN DANCER, JEFFERY DANIELS RETURNS HOME – Former Soul Train dancer, Jeffery Daniels has returned to his US base after a brief visit here. The artiste who was reportedly in Nigeria on Senator-elect, Ben Bruce’s invitation, flew back to the States last Tuesday.

 

 

BIOYE AYOKU DELVES INTO FARMING – Bioye, son of late Chief Solomon Ayoku has opened a commercial poultry farm in the outskirts of Ajah, Lagos. The farm, we learnt, cost the dude a couple of millions.

The Ayokus are successful entrepreneurs. Their late father, Chief Solomon Ayoku had chains of business concerns including the Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi, Lagos.
