– says, ‘life doesn’t give you what you deserve, it gives you what you demand’
If you want to know the impact a leader has made on his followers, observe how highly or otherwise they celebrate him. The former was the case with Prophet Dr. Anthony Aniekwu of Radiant Army Deliverance Ministry, Aguda-County, Ogba, Lagos, as he celebrated 40.
The deliverance minister and evangelist fondly called anointed ambassador 1 by his congregants, who hails from eastern Nigeria (precisely Enugu state) and holds a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) from the Apostolic Ministry Training University, Glory Word, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 2008, was on Saturday, July 3, 2015, showered with love, affection and honour due a man of impact.
His church, Radiant Army, which has a vision of raising a new generation of champions for whom nothing shall be impossible, started 10 years ago as a vision given to him by God, and since then it has been through different phases. Its cathedral now sits on almost one acre of land in the heart of Lagos Mainland.
The distinctive young minister gleefully spoke about life @ 40 in this brief chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly.
How does it feel celebrating your birthday?
Every man would feel great celebrating his birthday. The Bible says he who numbers his years is wise. Wisdom teaches that we should number our years.
What are you most grateful to God at this point in your life?
Oh, for the journey so far. I am grateful to God for the storms of life He has seen me through. The bible says it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but God who shows mercy.
What are some of the lessons life has taught you?
Humility in everything I do, I have learnt to be humble. I have equally learnt to lean on God in times of difficulty. I have come across the good, the bad and the ugly. Life has really taught me a lot of lessons, don’t forget that life doesn’t give you what you deserve but what you demand.
If you are not careful, life will give you what you don’t expect. I thank God I have come this far.
What do you consider the most important thing in your life now?
Jesus Christ of Nazareth. My relationship with Him is the most important thing to me.
What would you say is your greatest achievement?
Winning souls for God. I have counted my blessings and named them all, but the greatest is winning souls for Christ and solving people’s problems. I am a vessel of honour in the hand of God, so my greatest achievement is winning souls. The souls God has used me to win have in turn been a blessing to me.
What is your wish @ 40?
My wish is to continue to grow, to grow spiritually, physically, mentally. financially, all areas of life. I don’t want to end my ministry at 40, I want to continue growing.
