An Indian teenager has had a record 232 teeth surgically removed from his mouth, with only 28 remaining.
The 17-year-old, Ashik Gaval, has had pains in his jaws for over ayear before leaving his Indian village and seeking treatment in the city. He was admitted to JJ Hospital in Mumbai, India, with swollen gums.
Doctors there diagnosed that the pain was being caused by a complex composite odontoma, and he went under the knife on Monday (July 21) in a seven-hour operation.
