Redeemed church denies building airport: ‘There is no room for that in the layout’

+Adeboye consecrates 20 billion 3 KLM auditorium

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has denied the construction of a any airport within the N20 billion 3 kilometre by 3 kilometer auditorium situated at Shimawa, Mowe, Ogun State.  ENCOMIUM Weekly reliably gathered that the layout of the new camp grounds does not accommodate an airport.

One of the site engineers who spoke to ENCOMIUM Weekly anonymously affirmed that, “Daddy G.O. is a man of his words, he will not say anything and change it later, no matter the pressure. This project is meant for the new auditorium and not airport. At the initial stage, he had warned against wrong information being spread over this project to avoid distraction, and this is one of them. The layout that was handed to us does not accommodate any airport. Airport is a multibillion capacity project which is not the primary purpose of this mission. More so, to approve an airport at Shimawa is impossible considering the location and geographical pattern.”

But there is an helipad on Redemption ground. And on many occasions, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan (former president) and governors had used the helipad.

In another development, Pastor Adeboye, consecrated the new N20 billion 3kilometre auditorium. The consecration held on Sunday, August 9, 2015, to round off the 63rd annual convention of the church. Though the project is ongoing, the consecration was necessary to officially open the new auditorium for use.

At the service, he was supported by the Deputy General Overseer, Pastor Abiona, Mother-In-Israel, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, all the special assistants, regional pastors, provincial pastors and many others.

At the service, Daddy G.O. (as Pastor E. A. Adeboye is fondly called) performed the ordination of 1,184 male and female full pastors. In addition, 75 elders were ordained after the consecration.
