Pop star, Rihanna (27) is the cover girl of the new edition of Vanity Fair magazine.
The domestic abuse she suffered in 2009 from ex-boyfriend/singer, Chris Brown (26) came up during an interview with the magazine .
She noted that victims of abuse are being continually punished every time the subject is brought up. And that she would like to leave the case in the past, though it’s a sensitive subject that can’t be swept under the rug.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, Rihanna said concerning Chris Brown, ‘We’re not friends, but it’s not like we’re enemies. We don’t have much of a relationship now. I will care about him until the day I die.’
Rihanna and Chris Brown dated in 2005 until pictures of her was released showing the bruised wounds from his attack on her at a Grammy party in 2009.
