Rumors of monkeypox vaccination spread to more states

As the rumours spread that vaccination teams accompanied by soldiers were in town, many states are in a panic situation as most parents withdraw their children from school.
Here are some states where the rumour has spread too.

*October 11, 2017: Anambra schools shut down over the rumour of injection.

*It was also reported on October 14, 2017: That hundred of parents on Monday rushed to withdraw their children from public primary school in Damaturu, Yobe state.Following a rumour that an unusual injection was being administered on school children. Meanwhile, according to the rumour, a non-governmental organization was administering the injection on the heads of male and navel of female pupils in public primary schools in town.

*Two days later on Wednesday, a similar rumour spread to Anambra state and led anxious parents to withdraw their wards and disrupt school activities. However, the rumour in Anambra claimed that some students died after being forcefully injected with a vaccine by Nigeria Army personnel.

*The rumour also reached Bayelsa state, when the government on Friday had to announced a ban on all forms of medical outreach programme in public and private schools throughout the state to calm anxious parents.

*On Tuesday, October 17, 2017: Schools activities were abruptly brought to an end in Akure and other major towns in Ondo state. As the rumour of forced military vaccination of school pupils by monkeypox virus spread across the state.

*In Omu-Aran and Ilofa, in Irepodun and Oke-Ero local government areas in Kwara State on October 18, 2017. Parents withdrew their children from schools following rumours of deadly vaccination.
