SARAKI’S SENATE PRESIDENT

Former Governor of Kwara state,Senator Bukola Saraki (Kwara Central) has been elected Senate President.

Emerging  the All Progressives Congressives (APC) ‘sole candidate’, Saraki was elected unopposed with the support of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Also elected Deputy Senate President was Senator Ike Ekweremadu.

With  controversy likely to trail the election, the APC leadership had endorsed Senator Ahmad Lawan (North-East) who curiously didn’t participate in the election.
