Season 4 of Glo’s Professor Johnbull starts today

The edifying TV drama series sponsored by the grandmasters of data, Globacom, Professor Johnbull, enters Season Four this week with a novel episode which zeroes in on the evil activities of hoodlums on the highways.

According to Globacom,  the new episode is entitled “Point and Kill” and will be broadcast at 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes. It will examine  the problem of criminals on highways who pretend to be good Samaritans only to rip commuters off their hard-earned money and valuables, the company stated. It added that the new season of the Series “is as hot, hilarious and didactic as all the seasons before it”.

“We want to assure the viewers of Professor Johnbull, which has been rated as the rave of the moment programme on the Network service of NTA, that the new season will give them value for their time. The topics to be treated in the new season touch on the moral needs of a society like ours, giving all of us reason to go back to our valued cultures, traditions, and customs even as members of a dynamic global village”, the statement added.

Specifically, the company noted that “Point and Kill”, the first episode of Season Four,  deals with “a very germane issue and its relevance lies in the fact that many  unsuspecting members of the public have fallen victims to the antics of these agents of harm who stand on the highway to raise false alarm with the intention of defrauding their victims”.

Set in the Coal city of Enugu, the new episode parades the conscience of the sitcom, Professor Johnbull, played by a Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo, (KOK), his “son,” Churchill (Jnr. Pope Odonwodo), Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso), Samson (Ogus Baba), Ufoma (Bimbo Akintola), who has a perpetual crush on the erudite professor, and Abadnego (Martins Nebo).

Viewers will be entertained on the cerebral Professor Johnbull and the fraudulent mechanics on the highway. Does the professor fall victim? What happens to Olaniyi as he abandons the recognised motor park to request for a ride on the roadside? Is Samson a mere picaro or will his street sense prove relevant when it matters most?

These and many more are the high points awaiting viewers as they make it a date with the new episode on Tuesday. The repeat broadcast comes up at 8.30 p.m. on Friday on the same TV channels.
