The family of Steven Sotloff – the United States (US) hostage beheaded yesterday (September 2) by an Islamic State fighter in a video – have seen the chilling clip and are grieving privately.
A family spokesman, Barak Barfi, also said that authorities have not established its authenticity.
31-year-old Sotloff was a freelance journalist for Time and Foreign Policy magazines who went missing in Syria.
