Second rescued Chibok girl ‘Serah Luka’ raises more questions than answers

The second Chibok girl the Nigerian Army claims it rescued last night, Serah Luka, has left many Nigerians confused as her emergence has raised more questions than answers.

Serah’s purported rescue comes barely 24 hours after Amina Ali, one of the abducted girls from Government Secondary School, Chibok was rescued and reunited with her family.

According to the statement by the Nigerian Army spokesman, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, Serah, who is Number 157 on the list of the abducted schoolgirls, was a junior secondary school one (JSS1) student of the Chibok school, at the time of her abduction, and is believed to be the daughter of one Pastor Luka.

It is thereby contradictory, the claim that Serah was a JSS1 student when she was abducted as Nigerians were made to believe that all the girls abducted by Boko Haram from the school were final year students who were preparing for their West African School Certificate Examination.

Also the timing of the second rescue which comes just a day after Amina’s rescue has raised many eyebrows.
