SENATOR AMOSUN EULOGISES MODUPE ADEKUNLE AT 60

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has felicitated with the immediate past Head of Service in the State, Mrs. Modupe Abibat Adekunle on her 60th birthday anniversary.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga at the thanksgiving service organised to mark her birthday at the All Saints Church, Kemta-Kobiti, Abeokuta.

Senator Amosun Congratulated her as she attained the diamond age of 60,  saying that her life has been full of manifestation of divine grace, brilliance, uncommon strength of character, and perseverance.

The Governor noted that his administration’s five Cardinal Programmes and other developmental initiative in the Mission to Rebuild Ogun State would not have been made possible without the support, cooperation and dedication of the State Civil Service which she was part of for 35 years.

“You provided purposeful and innovative leadership that tremendously improved the structure and performance of the State Civil Service. Even though, you have bowed gracefully out of Service, our administration is indeed proud of your selfless service and generous contributions to our dear State and the Nation at large” Amosun added.

Earlier in his Sermon titled “ what shall I render unto you oh Lord”? The Bishop of Egba West Anglican Diocese, Rt. Rev. Samuel Ogundeji described sixty years of age as a reward from the Almighty God, charged people to continue to depend and put their trust only in God.

The cleric further implored people to always be ready to pay their vows to the Lord at all times, describing life as a sacrifice.

Guests were later given a warm reception at the Bishops Court, Onikolobo Abeokuta where a book written in her honour titled ‘Breaking Barriers” an Auto Biography of the Celebrant was launched by the State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga supported by other State Government functionaries which included Speaker House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Suraju Adekunbi, SSG, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, Head of Service, Elder Sola Adeyemi, retired and serving Permanent Secretaries, Traditional Rulers, amongst others.
