Society matriarch, Senator Daisy Danjuma is ecstatic – and it shows in her recent appearances that she has attained the status of a grandmother. Her son, Yuki Omenai and wife Moriam recently welcomed their first child. The baby arrived on Monday, September 1, 2014, at a private hospital in Lagos. Mother and baby are doing excellently.

The couple, after their wedding in Spain, relocated to Lagos, Nigeria. Senator Daisy Danjuma married to one of Nigeria’s richest men, General T.Y Danjuma (rtd), has been telling friends and acquaintances about the latest arrival. She was seen at few events in Lagos since the baby arrived being congratulated by friends.

Yuki Ehime Omenai and Moriam Omobolanle sealed their long romance with a fairy tale wedding in far away Marbella, Spain, on Saturday, May 10, 2014. They were joined in matrimony inside General T.Y Danjuma’s plush home in Marbella, Spain, in style with the high and mighty from Nigeria and beyond flown into town for the ceremony. The beautiful city of Marbella stood still for the wedding described by those who attended as classy and strictly by invite. Then, Moriam was few months pregnant. The ceremony came eight months after the couple staged their engagement in Lagos which attracted a full list of the high society.

The Saturday, May 10, 2014, wedding of Yuki and Moriam Omenai lived up to its billing as one of the most glamorous and expensive in recent times. The couple exchanged marital vows with the supervision of Nigerian clergy flown to Spain for the ceremony. After that, the entertainment part of the ceremony started.

Yuki dazzled in a lovely cream suit with a black shirt, while the very pregnant Moriam Omobolanle shone brilliantly in a floor sweeping white lace wedding gown.

Both Yuki and Moriam are said to be long time lovers. They met during their school days abroad. The groom is from Senator Daisy Danjuma’s first marriage to Mr. Henry Omenai, the first Nigerian Executive Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He presently lives in London after he recuperated from the shock he suffered from a helicopter crash 20 years ago.
