Senator Babafemi Ojudu has alleged that Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose is after his life. In a post on his facebook account in the evening of Monday, April 20, 2015, Ojudu made the allegation.
He wrote : Threat to my life by Gov Fayose and Lere Olayinka
Yesterday one Mr Lere Olayinka who serves as media goon to Gov Fayose of Ekiti published my name, telephone numbers and that of of the speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly Dr Omirin on his Facebook page. He similarly sent out bulk SMS to people of Ekiti State. In the posting on his page he said I am responsible for the attempt to impeach his boss because I wanted to be governor and therefore called on the governor’s supporters to put calls through to my phone lines and threaten me with death. I have since received hundreds of such calls in the last 24 hours. And I am still receiving more.
I am not afraid of their evil plans but I wish to bring this to the notice of public as well as our law enforcement agents. Tomorrow I am heading to the office of the Inspector General of police to lodge a complaint on this threat to life. Should anything untoward happen to me Gov Fayose and his goon Lere Olayinka should be held responsible.
