Seun Egbeegbe names new baby Rianat Okikiola Isabela

– Ceremony attended by a couple of family members and friends

The naming ceremony of the new baby of remanded serial fraudster, Seun Egbeegbe, which held at his Gbemisola Crescent, Ikeja, Lagos home, on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, was only attended by a few family members and friends.

The low key event was officiated by a group of Islamic clerics within the vicinity as those that were expected to be in charge of the naming from Ilaro, Ogun state, encomium.ng learnt, couldn’t meet up as scheduled because of the ongoing Ramadan.

The naming, we were told, had in attendance Egbeegbe’s parents, his new wife’s parents and a couple of other family members and friends. Among his followers who also surfaced at the event were Jamiu Bankewin and Azeez Ijaduade.

“The name of Seun Egbeegbe’s daughter is Rianat Okikiola Isabella Kareem. I learnt the names were concluded on after due consultation with him since he communicates regularly with Nikky Berry (Oyenike Yusuf), mother of the new baby. Even, on that day, I learnt he still spoke with her from Ikoyi Prisons. He is happy about the whole thing despite his present situation. He believes he will be out soon which I also agree with because he didn’t kill,” the source added.

The music and movie promoter is spending his 120th day in detention following his arrest on Thursday, February 2, at Gbagada General Hospital where he was accused of swindling bureau de change operators of foreign currencies.

He was arraigned before Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo of Federal High Court in Ikoyi (Lagos), and he was eventually granted bail of N5 million with two sureties in like sum. One of the sureties should be a level 16 civil servant, and the owner a property owner in Lagos metropolis who will deposit the certificate of occupancy.

He’s been unable to fulfil these conditions.

And during his incarceration at Ikoyi Prisons, his partner delivered a baby girl on Wednesday, May 24. Excited and distraught, he couldn’t attend the christening.
