2014 witnessed several spectacular ceremonies and events which left many bewildered. Bars were raised and lavish got redefined with guests pampered beyond their imaginations as celebrities attempted to host the biggest weddings that have never been seen.
From the specutacular wedding of President Goodluck Jonathan daughter’s to the mind boggling multi million naira wedding Senator Ita -Giwa staged for her daughter in Calabar and Lagos as well as Paul of Psquare’s carnival of a traditional wedding in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
These epoch events had one thing in common, Sharp Band. The band which has performed at the biggest events for the high and mighty, was on hand in 2014 to skillfully render its cross section of music which includes hip hop, high-life, jazz, rhythm, blues, reggae and tungba.

PAUL OKOYE OF PSQUARE’S WEDDING IN PORT HARCOURT
Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital went agog on Saturday, March 22, 2014, when Paul Okoye of P-Square duo and long time girlfriend and babymama, Anita Isama staged a spell binding traditional wedding carnival.
The over 300 guests at the event held at the Aztec Arcum Events Centre in PH, would not forget in a hurry the perfect performance by the incredibly talented Sharp Band.
GOODLUCK JONATHAN DAUGHTER, FAITH SAKWE’S WEDDING
The colorful nuptials, between President Goodluck Jonathan’s daughter, Faith Sakwe and Mr. Godswill Edwards on Saturday, April 12, 2014, in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital has been described by many as the biggest wedding in the land. It was not surprising however, that the most sought after music group, Sharp Band was on hand to entertain, with their spell-binding performance.
ITA GIWA’S DAUGHTER, KOKOEKA’S WEDDING
On September 20, 2014, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa gave out her beautiful, Kokoeka in marriage to son of the late mogul and socialite, Chimaobi Showcross Obioma Jnr. It was one of the big budget nuptials of 2014. It gulped close to N100 million. Not only that, pillars of high society stormed the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Lagos and Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the solemnization and reception respectively and Sharp Band, the band of choice when it comes to perfection, was on hand to make the experience memorable with scintillating performances.
SIR TONY EZENNA’S DAUGHTER, UCHENNA CYNTHIA’S WEDDING
Orange Drugs’ boss, Sir Tony Ezenna gave out his first daughter, Uchenna Cynthia, in marriage to Chukueku Elurihuka. It was a fabulous wedding that was well attended by leading politicos, mainly from the South East; corporate titans and creme de la creme of the society. Held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, the solemnization of holy matrimony was at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Musa Yar’Adua Road, Victoria Island, Lagos. The fun was later moved to the prestigious Oriental Hotel (also in Victoria Island) where the colourful reception held. Guests were delighted to have the band of the moment, Sharp Band in performance as they gave another virtuoso performance.
