Shoprite jam packed with Black Friday bargain hunters

shoprite2Shoprite inside Ikeja City Mall  (Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos) is now (Friday, November 25) besieged by bargain hunters looking for Black Friday deals.

The doors of the household and groceries store is partially locked as too many customers are in already. Those who want to go in are lining up as only a few are allowed at a time.

When encomium.ng reporter arrived this afternoon, there was commition at the doors.

Those who emerged from the doors claimed the drinks are hugely discounted.

All the other shops in the mall have regular foot falls unlike Shoprite. From Slot to Samsung and the i-Store, T.M Lewin to Woodin, patrons were manageable.

Only the food court appeared busy as usual.

Getting into Ikeja Mall itself was a bit difficult as different suppliers’ vehicles  blocked the Kafi Street entrance.

Packing is not too difficult, but spaces are few.

Nigerians are becoming more aware of Black Friday sales (very popular in the United States of America) where items are hugely discounted.
