LUXURY real estate big player, Sijibomi Ogundele has denied dating billionaire Femi Otedola’s daughter, DJ Cuppy…contrary to the whirlwind tale across town that they are in a sizzling romance.
The 33 year-old CEO of Sujimoto Construction spoke to encomium.ng in the afternoon of Thursday, October 23, 2014, and admitted being friends with the 21 year-old post graduate student of Music Business, New York City University, United States of America.
Popularly called Sujimoto, Sijibomi Ogundele painted a glowing picture of their friendship, arising from a business perspective.
“I know DJ Cuppy, I’ve known her for a short time. She’s a young lady I appreciate because of her entrepreneurial skills.
“But I’m not dating her. I consider her a younger sister – and I promote her business. She was contracted as the DJ for our opening (at Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi,Lagos, on September 19, 2014).
“I like her from a business perspective. She’ll be one of the first DJs from Nigeria with an MBA (she’s studying Music Business at New York City University ).
“She’s a fantastic lady –but she’s only a friend. Sijibomi is seriously romantically involved with Sujimoto.”
The founder and lead partner of Sujimoto Construction, Sijibomi Ogundele is an Ijebu man (Ogun) who has his hands in luxury real estate, finance and energy.
The company which has completed a luxury block of flats on Milverton Road, Ikoyi (Lagos) has offices in Paris (France), Accra (Ghana), Madrid (Spain), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Lagos (Nigeria).
The likeable young man has his eyes set on the future, and has been described by Forbes Africa as ‘a brave young entrepreneur with the capacity to change real estate industry in Nigeria.’
Florence Ifeoluwa, daughter of Femi and Nana Otedola is an enterprising young woman with a law degree (from the United Kingdom) and a deep passion for disc jockeying (which she started at 16).
In less than two years, she has erected a reputation as a spectacular DJ with eyes on the future.
